Movie Scrambler is a fun, enjoyable way to discover hidden gems in the McAlester Public Library's DVD collection. Simply shake your device or tap 'Scramble!' to discover a random movie or you can use the search feature to search the entire DVD collection by title.

Music Sampler

McAlester Public Library Music Sampler allows you to listen to select songs from within our broad music collection. You must have a valid library card from McAlester Public Library or one of our sister branches to utilize this app. This app works best with a 3G equivalent or better connection. Wi-Fi is recommended when streaming high quality.

McAlester Public Library now offers e-books for download.

Now Mango Goes Where You Go!

Mango Mobile Library Edition is the Mango Languages application for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Free from the App Store, you can now access fast, easy and effective language learning no matter where your travels take you!

TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. McAlester Public Library's Virtual Branch now offers FREE, LEGAL music downloads through the FreegalMusic Service. Each song is bought and paid for by the library on your behalf. Therefore, there is a limit of 3 per week per person.

Simply click here or on the image and then type your library card number to gain access.

Audio Books

McAlester Public Library's Virtual Branch now offers downloadable audio books sponsored by the Southeastern Public Library System of Oklahoma. To view and download these audio books, click the link below, select "Login" and enter your library card number without spaces. Once downloaded, you can use any portable MP3 player that supports the WMA (Windows Media Audio) or eMP3(Encrypted M-PEG Audio Level III) format to playback your content.
